Replacing a Lost Passport

The first thing to do if your passport is lost or stolen passport is to cancel it as soon as possible. Lost or stolen passport may be used fraudulently if not cancelled.

A recent survey names the British passport as one of the most valuable in the world, this position is shared with passports from Finland and Sweden.

So cancelling your passport will reduce the risk of anyone else using your passport or your identity. Ring The Passport Office to report your passport lost or stolen.

Report to police

If your passport is stolen you will also need to report this to the nearest police station. You will be given a crime reference number which may be required when you apply for a replacement passport.
